Abstract

SUMMARY The following describes the evaluation carried out on two phytosanitary products for the control of Mycosphaerella fijiensis Morelete Mycosphaerellaceae “Sigatoka Negra” in the cultivation of Musa x paradisiaca in the Gross Michel variety, banana, in the Morelia sector in Margaritas farm, San Francisco, Zapotitlán , Suchitepéquez. A completely randomized block design was used using four repetitions. The products evaluated were Bacillus subtilis, Huwasan (H2O2) and a mineral oil that works as an adherent called Complemip, (Paraffinic mineral oil) compared with a relative control, which was the chemical fungicide Mancozeb, whose active ingredient is Diethyldithiocarbamate combined with Dextrell adherent. , an absolute control that went without applications, completing six treatments. Twelve applications and twelve weekly samplings were carried out, taking data on incidence, severity and the number of healthy leaves. In addition, the research was carried out until the harvest of the M.x paradisiaca plants, all of this to carry out the costbenefit analysis, where the costs of each treatment and were subtracted from the profits obtained from the sale of the bunches of each treatment, where treatment three (Huwasan) obtained a greater number of profits with Q4835.83 per hectare for the 15 months that the cycle lasts. cultivation of M. x paradisiaca. For the variable incidence, an analysis of variance was carried out on the data from week twelve where a significant difference was found between the treatments, for this reason a multiple test of means was carried out where it was determined that the four treatments (Huwasan + Complemip) that reduced 44.60% incidence to 29.36%, continuing treatment five (Mancozeb+Dextrell) reducing from 44.60% to 31.10%. Regarding the degree of severity, treatment four (Huwasan + Complemip) obtained the best results in terms of reducing the degree of severity of the disease, starting with a 4.43 severity and reducing it to 3.75. The treatment that obtained the greatest number of protected or healthy leaves was treatment four (Huwasan + Complemip) obtaining 9.4 protected leaves, in addition, treatment four was also the which reduced the degree of damage from 32.70% to 20.18%.
