Abstract
Summary Farm Santa Anita, from 2000 to date, has detected 7% significant losses in the first stages of the C. arabica seedling, due to fungal problems in the soil. Although on this farm they use products to control their development and spread. For this reason, they want to implement new control techniques that involve less expense and at the same time are less polluting for the environment. That is why 4 plants with antifungal properties were evaluated to make extracts, which are: Equisetum arvense. Horsetail, Azadirachta indica, Neem. Allium sativum, Garlic. Ricinus communis, Higuerillo, was also evaluated together with 2 substrates, one new and the other recycled. Such evaluation aims to know which of the extracts has 90% control of soil fungi, which substrate is better, and which of the extract-substrate interactions control soil fungi, and if these are more profitable than the use of conventional control. It was found that the interaction of extract-new substrate had better control than the conventional one, since it presented greater than 90% of the control and its use was more economical, therefore its implementation is recommended in future seedbeds carried out by the farm.
