Abstract
SUMMARY This research was conducted in Lot 0101 of the Naranjales farm, in soca cane (second cut), which belongs to Ingenio Palo Gordo (IPG) and is located in the municipality of Santo Domingo Suchitepéquez. Weed control being one of the biggest challenges for the sugar agroindustry, five pre-emergent herbicide mixtures were evaluated for weed control in sugarcane. For the development of the research, a Completely Randomized Block Design was used, evaluating five treatments with four replications, formed by 20 experimental units, each experimental unit of 6 furrows of 250 m long and 10.5 m wide (distance between furrows 1.75 m). Each experimental unit has an area of 2,625 m2. Each block with an area of 13,125 m2 for a total experimental area of 55,125 m2 equivalent to 5.51 Ha. The treatments evaluated in different mixtures and doses were T1 (Ametrine 50 SC - 3 Lt/ha, Mesotrione + Atrazine - 3 Lt/ha, Pendimethalin 50 EC - 3 Lt/ha), T2 (Flumioxazin 50 WP - 0.2 Kg/ha, Diuron 80 WG - 1.25 Kg/ha, T3 (Imazapic 70 WG - 0. 60 Kg/ha, Isoxaflutole 75 WG - 0.25 Kg/ha), T4 (Indaziflam 50 SC - 0.20 Lt/ha, Hexazinone 75 WG - 0.50 Kg/ha) and T5 (Relative Control) (Atrazine 90 WG - 2 Kg/ha, Ametrine 50 SC - 2 Lt/ha, Pendimethalin 50 EC - 4 Lt/ha, 2,4 D 0.5 Lt/ha). The application was made three days after cutting the cane crop, using a "Jacto" knapsack pump with a TF - 2.5 nozzle; the application of the treatments was made directly to the furrow with overlapping on the table. No agronomic work was carried out in the experimental area during the 60 days after the application of herbicide mixtures.
