Abstract

The study of the subject had as main objective to analyze the conditioning factors in the application of the administrative and pedagogical processes of school supervision; as key elements for the operation of the Guatemalan educational system; this allowed us to show the factors that encourage or limit a quality supervision process. The analytical and synthetic methods were mainly used to determine the objectivity of the study; In addition to research instruments, such as survey tickets applied to the directors of educational establishments. As well as interview guides, addressed to the Head of the Pedagogical Technical Department, Coordinator in the Pedagogical Technical Section and Educational Supervisor; who were essential analysis units for the investigation and structure of this report. During the analysis of the results obtained from the field work, factors that condition the quality of the administrative and pedagogical processes were evidenced, being the professional, logistic and economic those that stand out the most; Parallel to this, it was diagnosed that, the lack of academic training, institutional and financial support from educational authorities, are some of the aspects that determine the effectiveness of the supervision service, in addition to the need to promote pedagogical practices that mainly favor the medium level.
