Abstract

Abstract En la presente investigación se tuvo como fin analizar los factores que causan la deserción escolar en el Instituto Nacional de Educación Básica de Telesecundaria Aldea Santa Adelaida ubicado en el municipio de Santa Bárbara del Departamento de Suchitepéquez. To carry out the research, interviews were also carried out eith teachers and parents, a survey was carried out with students who dropped out of these instruments used could show that the most frequent cause for which students dropo ut of the educational center it is the economic situation, due to this other problems are generated that influence school dropouts, however, poverty is the matrix of all of them. Among the main findings found is that school dropout in the educational center has ocurred due topoverty and family disintegration since these situations leave the subject of the study in the background.
