Abstract
ABSTRACT In the municipal seat of San Juan La Laguna, Sololá, located at coordinates 114°41'39.4" north latitude and 91°17'14.3'' west longitude, the research called "Evaluation of the nutritional contribution of organic fertilizers applied down". It seeks an alternative use of organic waste, which according to Cegarra and others (1993, pages 46 to 55), transforming it into fertilizer will provide very beneficial nutrients to the soil. Currently, organic waste in the municipality is only crushed and accumulated near the treatment plant, which generates leachate, bad odors and contaminates the environment in general. The inadequate management given to the organic material does not allow the nutrients it can provide to be reincorporated into the soil fertilization cycle. In the research, the experimental design of completely randomized blocks was used with five treatments and five repetitions, these being: absolute control, without fertilizer (T1); compost produced in the treatment plant (T2); vermicompost made at Cooperativa La Voz (T3); bocashi 1 (T4) and bocashi 2 (T5). The nutritional chemical analyses were carried out in the Anacafé soil laboratory, using the ANDEVA analysis of variance methodology and the Tukey test, obtaining the following results: absolute control T1, presented deficient content in: nitrogen, sulfur and boron; while it exceeds the content of phosphorus and zinc. Treatments T2 (compost) and T3 (vermicompost) have the highest contents compared to the rest of the treatments in macro and micronutrients, although they exceed the adequate content of: phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, boron, copper and zinc. Treatments T4 and T5 are within adequate levels of macro and micronutrients, although both presented deficiency in their nitrogen contribution.
