Abstract

ABSTRACT The legal effects of the undeclared common-law union in matters of Post-mortem, is a problem that is evident in the municipality of San Gabriel, Suchitepéquez, for which to needed collect information from the women in undeclared common-law union, to analyze information on the causality of women who do not formally marry, and only live in an undeclared common-law union. The Political Constitution of the Republic of Guatemala guarantees the protection of the family, for which the legal recognition of the de facto union originated through the Civil Code; establishing itself as an alternative for couples who are not inclined to get married. however, they decide to live together, share a home, have children, and live with their family.
