Abstract

Abstract In the department of Suchitepéquez, municipality of Santo Domingo Suchitepéquez, it is located on the 2nd. AV. 5-54 the educational establishment Institute of education basic for Cooperative Professor José Francisco Figueroa Lara, where the educational research study entitled "Social Networks, Influential Factor in Educational Attention" was carried out, to determine how social networks influence Educational Attention of students in the classroom. For the investigative process, the non-experimental research design and cross-sectional study were used, in terms of the approach used, it was quantitative, because this allowed the study phenomenon to be measured, in addition to using descriptive statistics to collect and analyze what was found in the data investigation. . . The findings found when carrying out the research study are evidenced in the results of the surveys that were graphed for greater understanding, where it is clear that young people use social networks in the classroom, distracting their attention towards the teacher, in the Analysis and discussion of results explains the factors that affect educational attention. Derived from the research, there is a proposal to provide awareness and guidance training to young students about the consequences of frequent or compulsive use of social networks in the educational center and outside it.
