Abstract

Abstract The following investigation was developed in the National Institute of Basic Education and Diversify Day Vespertina Cantón Parroquia, of the municipality of Cuyotenango, department of Suchitepéquez. It was selected as a research problem the factors that influence the students and that provoke actions of indiscipline in the realization of their studies. Based on this, the work hypothesis indicated that: The students of the middle level present problems of indiscipline due to the influence of the factors of the context in which they operate daily. The study found that the undisciplined behavior of young people comes from the virtual distractors to which they have access, and that, due to the lack of support from parents in terms of educational guidance, they present psychological and emotional problems that lead them not to deliver tasks, not actively participating in their learning and being irresponsible in their studies; with which its low academic performance is generated. In order to carry out the research, the qualitative research approach was chosen, using the case study technique, which allowed psychopedagogical intervention in cases of students with study discipline problems, which allowed access to the anamnesis records. , interviews and in some cases, the use of psychometric tests. The application of psychopedagogical technical interventions managed to gather information about the negative habits that affect the personal discipline of students in their studies. This research is theoretically based on the approaches of several authors, emphasizing social, family, and educational factors that determine the indiscipline of the young person in their studies
