Abstract
Abstract To carry out the "Analysis of land use in relation to climate variability in the municipality of Quetzaltenango, from 1980 to 2020", three objectives were considered. First, land use was identified in the municipality of uetzaltenango in the period from 1980 to 2020, evaluated every ten years, for which maps were generated using satellite images of the area corresponding to the municipality, these were characterized through the use of a Geographic Information System software in areas with forest cover, grasslands and cultivated areas and areas without coverage.
