Abstract

ABSTRACT One of the biggest problems that Guatemalan society faces is the lack of values in contemporary young people, which is a topic of concern today. Therefore, this research focused its study on the academic training of students in the practice of human values at the National Institute of Basic Education Flor del Café Mazatenango, Suchitepéquez. The intention of the educational event is to offer educational quality, however, during the observation process, problems were perceived in the pedagogical area of the educational establishment, because it does not work with a methodology that encourages and strengthens the practice of values in the students. , causing students to not receive a comprehensive education that allows them to be trained to face everyday life situations, however, this entire process must also be worked together with parents to guarantee its effectiveness. Reason why it becomes a challenge to be able to work together as a community, so that, focused on a single intention, this being to prepare students with knowledge and human values that make them responsible, capable and productive citizens for the society.
