Abstract

ABSTRACT The research addressed the different pedagogical models in virtual learning environments during the COVID–19 pandemic. It was carried out in educational institutions in the private sector of Mazatenango Suchitepéquez. It focused on collecting testimonies from high school students about the different pedagogical models. The study showed that both teachers and student 4ts made an effort and adapted to the non-face-to-face constructivist education model, better known as the distance model, which also increased within virtual learning environments, allowing intercommunication between teachers and students, the development of innovative strategies so that students could actively and from a leading role build their knowledge, unleash their skills and transform the experience of the pandemic into an opportunity for educational growth. Likewise, the experience in online classes was verified, which was very positive for the students, since it generated learning through gamification in significant activities such as the preparation of learning portfolios and creative graphic organizers in digital applications, readings comprehensive by searching for digital documents in Google academic and the skills of managing your documents in drive, classroom and by Gmail email.
