Abstract

ABSTRACT The research "Teachers, union -STEG- and Educational Administration in schools of the primary level San Francisco Zapotitlán official sector" arises from a phenomenon detected where a group of teachers in an insubordinate way planned to carry out an activity without school without permission of its immediate superior authority, based on the excuse of having the support of the Union of Workers of Education of Guatemala -STEG- to carry it out. This triggers the attention of the researcher, it is as a result of the need to inquire about the functions of the -STEG-, its scope and limitations in the administrative processes of primary school level, official sector of San Francisco Zapotitlán. For this purpose a quantitative study was carried out, which through the statistical study allows to prove in a sustained way the results of what was proposed to investigate the STEG and its influence in the educational administration of the primary level of the municipality of San Francisco Zapotitlán. The results obtained indicate that the ESTEG is only a mediator in relation to problem solving in education, so as to establish a dialogue table at the moment that a teacher or director requests it, as it does not have the faculties with legal support for to take decisions in the administrative actions of the teachers' union of the primary level official sector of San Francisco Zapotitlán
