Abstract

ABSTRACT The research addressed the topic of “Youth Rebellion” in secondary educational institutions in the municipality of Mazatenango in the department of Suchitepéquez, with the objective of analyzing the reasons for these behaviors and the controversies of rebellion that adolescents manifest in said educational centers. , to finally demonstrate the need for psycho-pedagogical guidance that young people require in secondary level educational institutions. The study discovered that youth rebellion is not always an aggressive condition but a call for depression. On the other hand, immaturity and lack of control to measure the consequences of their actions, both within the home and in the educational environment, has an impact on their academic performance. It is highlighted that the addiction and obsession with the use of social networks and electronic devices during the current era increased youth rebellion among adolescents. Unfortunately, another factor that stimulates youth rebellion is the breaking of family ties between children and parents, which causes young people to grow up without the loving guidance of their parents who are separated or in marital conflict. For this reason, it is anticipated that violent behaviors of extreme rebellion in educational centers must be attended to professionally with psycho-pedagogical programs that involve parents and educational authorities, with the participation of a specialist who continually improves the interrelation of students with their educational environment.
