Abstract

SUMMARY In the alcohol distillation process of the Tululá Sugar Mill, around 1800 m3 of vinasse are produced per day, part of this resource is used for the production of biogas and the product from the biodigesters is mixed with the rest of the vinasse and used as fertilizer, this is because it contains elements that are nutritious for plants (Ajanel, 2023). The use of vinasse as fertilizer has increased the saturation of potassium in the soil, a situation that has affected the industrial process of sugar production. The main objective of the evaluation of the vinasse sheets in the S. officinarum crop is to determine the optimal sheet to continue with the applications without saturating the soil with potassium and consequently obtain positive results in the industrial process of sugar production, vinasse applications. have been carried out without a prior study, the cause of potassium saturation in the soil is derived. To characterize the effect of vinasse on the soil and determine how much and how it affects sugar cane productivity and sugar production, research was carried out that evaluated four sheets of vinasse. This research was carried out on the Santa Julia farm, section three lots 0050303 and 0050305. The vinasse sheets were; 3.3 mm containing 145.2 (kg K+/ha), 5.4 mm containing 237.6 (kg K+/ha), 8.1 mm containing 356.4 (kg K+/ha), 10.8 mm containing 475.2 (kg K+/ha) using the spray application method under a completely randomized block arrangement with five repetitions.
