Abstract
ABSTRACT This research began during the author's immersion in the educational context of the Instituto de Education Basic for Cooperative –INEBACOMA- located in the municipality of Mazatenango, Suchitepéquez, during the Teaching Practice (Practice II) in 2020. By systematizing this experience, the concern grew to carry out an investigation on the didactic benefits of the National Base Curriculum -CNB- to promote active didactics in the classrooms. Documentary information was collected on the didactic content of the CNB and the theory of active didactics, whose postulates were contrasted with the information collected through interviews with active teachers on the application of the didactic strategies suggested in the CNB. The study concluded that the CNB formulates a didactic strategy in which the teacher assumes the role of strategist that stimulates the active learning of the student since it suggests learning activities on the theoretical basis of the didactic current of constructivism. It was detected that some teachers assume attitudes of resistance to change, which is why they continue to teach the curricular areas with the traditional methodology. It is recommended that the teacher apply the CNB didactic strategies, in order to promote active didactics in the classroom in order to guarantee the quality of learning that will be evidenced by the scope of the training competencies that will allow students to assimilate, analyze and solve real life problems, giving meaning to their learning acquired in school.
