Abstract

The report systematization of experiences –EPS- Supervised Professional Practice on managing for development line, made with the community of Retalhuleu; as a requirement to opt for the Bachelor of Social Work University Center South West San Carlos University of Guatemala. The results obtained during the implementation of the EPS, where through a social research were carried out projects that were intended to promote development though the participation of the residents of cato in planning and management are presented, especially accompanied of the various groups that exist in the county. One can conclude that the experiences gained during the EPS complement their training future professional social work, so the theory an practice unifies reinforcing the student to do and as a professional. Also through the principles and values of both the student and the race come together in an effort to contribute to the development of a community and its people to meet needs and generating processes of change for sustainable development.
