Abstract

RESUMEN La presente investigación realizada en el Cantón Río Tarros, Chicacao Suchitepéquez se llevó a cabo con el propósito de identificar y analizar los factores que inciden en la baja matrícula estudiantil del Instituto Nacional de Educación Básica de Telesecundaria del mencionado municipio. Para la exploración de la presente problemática se realizaron una serie de acciones como el objetivo de conocer la historia de éste centro educativo, e identificar desde donde y cuando se originó la baja matrícula de los estudiantes, teniéndose que plasmar objetivos para determinar, evidenciar las causas y motivos de la misma. Para afirmar que el problema es real se utilizaron una serie de métodos y técnicas en el marco metodológico, porque dependiendo de las herramientas utilizadas se obtiene el resultado de la investigación, por ello se visitó al director del plantel para que informara acerca de la estadística de alumnos inscritos en este ciclo escolar. Seguidamente se comparó la cantidad de alumnos con la de años anteriores, y la cantidad de estudiantes inscritos asistentes a este ciclo escolar de éste plantel educativo. Entonces este proceso llevó a entrevistar a los padres de familia, de la comunidad visitándolos hasta en su hogar, para que tranquilamente y con confianza pudieran dar información necesaria de la misma y de la misma manera se encuestó a los estudiantes del ciclo básico. Los encuestados argumentaban que la baja matrícula se debe a que no todos los estudiantes que egresan de la primaria continúan sus estudios en el INEB de Telesecundaria, porque eligen seguir estudiando en cualquiera de dos institutos que se encuentran a más de 2 kilómetros de la comunidad y que uno de los establecimientos es Nacional y la otra por Cooperativa. Entonces con la entrevista y la encuesta realizada a padres de familia e hijos se determinó que los estudiantes no continúan sus estudios en dicho lugar porque no les llama la atención el ambiente y el edificio escolar. ABSTRACT The present research carried out in the Canton Rio Tarros, Chicacao Suchitepéquez was carried out with the purpose of identifying and analyzing the factors that affect the low student enrollment of the National Institute of Basic Education of Telesecundaria of the mentioned municipality. For the exploration of the present problem, a series of actions were carried out as the objective to know the history of this educational center, and to identify where and when the low enrollment of the students originated, having to produce objectives to determine, and reasons for it. To assert that the problem is real, a series of methods and techniques were used in the methodological framework, because depending on the tools used, the research results were obtained, so the campus director was visited to report on the statistics of students enrolled in this school year. We then compared the number of students with that of previous years, and the number of enrolled students attending this school year of this educational establishment. Then this process led to interviewing the parents, from the community visiting them at home, so that calmly and confidently they could give necessary information of the same and the same way was surveyed the students of the basic cycle. Respondents argued that low enrollment is due to the fact that not all students who graduate from primary school continue their studies at INEB Telesecundaria, because they choose to continue studying at any of two institutes that are more than 2 kilometers from the community and that one of the establishments is National and the other by Cooperative. Then with the interview and the survey conducted to parents and children it was determined that students do not continue their studies in that place because they are not struck by the environment and the school building.
