Abstract

RESUMEN La investigación se realizó en el Instituto Nacional de Educación Básica y Diversificada de San Francisco, del municipio de San Francisco Zapotitlán, del departamento de Suchitepéquez, con el objetivo principal de evaluar la calidad del proceso formativo que reciben los alumnos del nivel medio ciclo básico de dicho establecimiento educativo. Fue una investigación cualitativa con carácter descriptivo y narrativo. Se seleccionó una muestra intencionada de diez y nueve docentes que laboran para el instituto y veintitrés estudiantes, de los cuales siete pertenecen al primer grado, siete de segundo grado y nueve estudiantes del tercer grado básico, para obtener la información necesaria que permitió realizar la investigación. Se aplicaron las técnicas de observación directa e indirecta, revisión de documentos en la dirección y secretaría del centro educativo para recabar información específicamente sobre cómo se está dando el proceso formativo de los estudiantes. Con los docentes y estudiantes se utilizó la entrevista estructurada con visitas al centro educativo. Analizando los resultados se deduce que el proceso formativo de los estudiantes del nivel medio ciclo básico no es de calidad, debido a que se carece de metodología actualizada, recursos y materiales importantes para que los estudiantes se desenvuelvan eficientemente, adicionado a todo ello existe una serie de limitaciones tales como: problemas sociales, familiares, condiciones no adecuadas que presenta el centro educativo, escasa ventilación e iluminación en algunas aulas, lo cual genera un ambiente no adecuado para que los estudiantes realicen sus tareas, investigaciones y actividades programadas por los docentes, lo cual limita el desarrollo de sus habilidades y capacidades, lo que hace que no hay un rendimiento escolar de calidad. ABSTRACT The research was carried out at the National Institute of Basic Education and Diversified San Francisco, municipality of San Francisco Zapotitlán, Department of Suchitepéquez, with the main objective of evaluating the quality of the training process that students receive at the average level Educational establishment. It was a qualitative research with descriptive and narrative character. An intentional sample of nineteen teachers working for the institute and twenty-three students of whom seven belong to the first grade, seven second grade and nine basic third grade students were selected to obtain the necessary information that allowed the investigation. The techniques of direct and indirect observation, revision of documents in the direction and secretariat of the educational center were applied to gather information specifically on how the students’ training process is being given, with the teachers and students the structured interview was worked through visits To the educational center who accepted the interview voluntarily. Analyzing the results, it can be deduced that the training process of students at the intermediate level is not of a high quality, due to the lack of updated methodology, resources and important materials for students to develop efficiently. Of limitations such as: social problems, family problems, inappropriate conditions presented by the school, poor ventilation and lighting in some classrooms, are issues that generate an environment not suitable for students to perform their tasks, research and activities programmed by teachers , Thus limiting the development of their skills and abilities, which means that there is no quality school performance.
